Sergeant Major Anthony Loftus

Sergeant Major Anthony J. Loftus is a native of Minnesota and enlisted in the Marine Corps in September of 1998.  Upon graduation, he reported to Marine Corps Base, Camp Pendleton, CA, for Marine Combat Training. Following MCT, he reported to Marine Corps Engineer School, Court House Bay, Camp Lejeune, NC where he received the MOS of 1171. 

Throughout his career, Sergeant Major Loftus has been assigned numerous duties to include: Engineer Detachment Platoon Sergeant, Section Leader and Utilities Chief; Drill Instructor, Senior Drill Instructor, Chief Instructor, DI School Instructor, DI School Drill Master and DI School Chief Instructor; First Sergeant, Inspector-Instructor Staff, K Company 3rd Battalion, 24th Marines, D Company, 1st Marine Special Operations Battalion, Marine Raider Regiment; Sergeant Major, 1st Maintenance  Battalion, Combat Logistics Regiment 15, 1st Marine Raider Battalion, Marine Raider Regiment, 6th Marine Regiment, 2d Marine Division, Task Force Southwest and Marine Forces Special Operations Command.   
His deployments and operational experience include deployments with the 13th Marine Expeditionary Force in support of OPERATION ENDURING FREEDOM; 1st Force Service Support Group in support of OPERATION IRAQI FREEDOM I and II; Military Transition Team 0700 in support of OPERATION IRAQI FREEDOM; 1st Marine Special Operation Battalion in support of GWOT; Special Operations Task Force-North in support of OPERATION INHERENT RESOLVE; Task Force Southwest in support of OPERATION FREEDOM'S SENTINEL and the RESOLUTE SUPPORT MISSION Afghanistan.
