U.S. Marines with 3rd Battalion, 23rd Marine Regiment and Ukranian marines assault a beach using a Turkish Higgins landing boats from the Turkish ship TCG Karamurselbey (NL-124), July 19, in the Black Sea during exercise Sea Breeze 2017. Ukrainian marines also conducted Zodiac boat landings while being trained by U.S. Marines in Shyrokyi Lan, Ukraine, July 15. Sea Breeze is a U.S. and Ukraine co-hosted multinational maritime exercise held in the Black Sea and is designed to enhance interoperability of participating nations and strengthen maritime security within the region.
