31st MEU | CBRN Response Element exercise
31st Marine Expeditionary Unit
June 20, 2025 | 2:41
U.S. Marines with Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear Response Element, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, conduct a CRE exercise at Sam Hill Airfield, Queensland, Australia, June 20, 2025. The Marines conducted response in a simulated unknown hazardous environment to verify the extent of the hazard, identify the materials, and provide updates to protect the force. The 31st MEU is operating aboard ships of the USS America Amphibious Ready Group in the 7th Fleet area of operations, the U.S. Navy’s largest forward-deployed numbered fleet, and routinely interacts and operates with allies and partners in preserving a free and open Indo-Pacific region.
