Sgt. Maj. Richard Thresher relinquishes his post as sergeant major of 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing to Sgt. Maj. Howard Kreamer during a relief and appointment ceremony aboard Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, N.C., Dec. 8, 2016. The relief and appointment ceremony is a tradition that pays homage to the transitioning of the senior enlisted advisor.
