Leo Ferguson III, the commanding officer of Personnel Administration School, and nephew of Jack Baker, conducts an interview ahead of the Monford Point Marine Day Ceremony on Camp Gilbert H. Johnson, North Carolina, Aug. 21, 2024. Jack Baker, one of the 20,000 African American Marines trained at Montford Point between 1942-1949, was posthumously awarded a Congressional Gold Medal in recognition of his dedication and contributions to the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II.
