July 22, 2015 | 0:44
ARABIAN GULF (July 22, 2015) U.S. Marines from Kilo Company, Battalion Landing Team 3rd Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit, fire at their targets during a short-range marksmanship qualification course aboard the dock landing ship USS Rushmore (LSD 47). The marksmanship course focused on improving the Marines’ communication and immediate action tactics, which prepares them for potential operations while deployed with the 15th MEU. Elements of the 15th MEU are embarked on the Essex Amphibious Ready Group and deployed to maintain regional security in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations. (U.S. Marine Corps video by Sgt.
