U.S. Marines with Marine Wing Support Squadron (MWSS) 271 fuel commercial aircraft at Coastal Carolina Regional Airport in New Bern, North Carolina, Oct. 18, 2023. Expeditionary fuel technicians with MWSS-271 trained with Coastal Carolina Regional Airport personnel as part of the Contingency Quality Assurance Specialist-Fuels initiative. CQAS-F aims to provide commanders with the capability to identify fuel-facility infrastructure, quality assurance of fuel sources, commercial industry resourcing, equipment requirements, and additional sustainment options in a contested logistics environment.
