Teniente Coronel de Infantería de Marina Colombiano (Colombian Marine Lt. Col.) Eduar Alexander Michaels Bravo, the deputy commander of Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force – Southern Command, talks about the significance of the task force’s deployment to Latin America and the Caribbean after the opening ceremony June 21, 2019, at Soto Cano Air Base, Honduras. The Marines and Sailors of SPMAGTF-SC will be conducting training and engineering projects alongside partner nation military forces in Latin America and the Caribbean during their deployment. The unit is also on standby to provide humanitarian assistance and disaster relief in the event of a hurricane or other emergencies in the region. (U.S. Marine Corps video by Sgt.
