U.S. Marines, local chefs, and culinary students gather for a cooking competition at Johnson and Wales University- Charlotte during the Marine Corps’ Marine Week in Charlotte, North Carolina, Sept. 7, 2018. During the event, the participants competed to create the best dish they could from a required set of ingredients that included Meals Ready to Eat, the staple field rations of American service members.
