Samuel "Dawg" Deputy, commanding officer of Marine Light Attack Helicopter Training Squadron (HMLAT) 303, Marine Aircraft Group (MAG) 39, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing (3dMAW), leads a sortie of 24 Light Attack Helicopters around Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton Calif., as a show of force, maintenance and aviation readiness April 14, 2017.
Deputy explains what it takes to lead, train and equip one of the largest, high-scoring maintenance aviation training squadrons in the Marine Corps.
HMLAT-303 has more than 400 service members and civilian contractors who maintain aircraft and train aviation personnel to include, pilots and crew members to support the Marine Air-Ground Task Force mission.
