Oct. 18, 2022 | 4:44
Building 163, the Water Transportation Operation building aboard Marine
Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, South Carolina became part of the Depot
in 1942 after the United States entered World War II. The location of the
building is strategic as it was originally designed to provide 24 hours
maritime traffic support, transporting logistical supplies and recruits.
