Dec. 18, 2015 | 1:33
Marine Corps Cpl. Remedios Cruz, a Fleischmanns, N.Y., native and one of the six female riflemen to participate in the Marine Corps' Ground Combat Element Integrated Task Force (GCEITF) study provides a glimpse into the life of a credentialed infantrywoman at Watervliet Arsenal, Watervliet, N.Y., Dec. 18, 2015. Cruz, who currently serves as the supply clerk for Marine Corps Recruiting Station Albany, N.Y., earned her status through completing combat simulations at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, N.C., Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center Twenty-nine Palms, Calif., and Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center Bridgeport, Calif., during the October 2014 to July 2015 GCEITF study.
