U.S. Marines with 3D Network Battalion hold a Change of Command Ceremony for Lt. Col. Daniel Chamberlin, incoming commanding officer of 3rd Network Battalion, Marine Corps Installations Pacific, and Lt. Col. Taylor Thompson, right, the outgoing commanding officer of 3rd Net Bn, MCIPAC, at Plaza Housing, Camp Foster, Okinawa, Japan, June 6, 2025. Thompson served for two years as the commanding officer and was relieved by Chamberlin who previously served as the assistant chief of staff G-6, MCIPAC. Thompson also received his second meritorious service medal for his service as commanding officer. Chamberlin is a native of Pennsylvania and Thompson is a native of Tennessee.
