Marines with Heavy Helicopter Squadron 462, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, forward deployed as part of the unit deployment program, with 1st Marine Aircraft Wing performed a platoon extraction Jun. 16 on Marine Corps Air Station Futenma, Okinawa, Japan. The Maintainers who work on the CH-53E Super Stallion helicopter work 11 to 14 hours a day to keep the helicopters mission ready.
