Submittal
All study nominations require the endorsement of a United States Marine Corps senior officer (Colonel / GS-15 or above) who will sponsor the study. The nomination can be submitted by completing the study nomination form and emailing it to mcss@usmc.mil.
Nomination Evaluation
Study nominations are evaluated based on a number of criteria to include:
- Value/payoff to the Marine Corps.
- Suitability for analysis.
- Estimated level of effort/cost.
- Linkage to future decisions made within the study sponsor's area of responsibility.
Each nomination will be carefully scrutinized to ensure it is suitable for the studies system resources. The nomination must be analytically rigorous in its approach. Issues that could be addressed by a staff or group of subject matter experts will be rejected as inappropriate.
