Lance Cpl. Shawn Pierce, from Tampa, Fla., with Wounded Warrior Battalion East, competes in the 2012 Marine Corps Trials aboard Camp Pendleton. Pierce is a cancer survivor and is now competing for a spot on the 2012 All-Marine team, which will compete at the 2012 Warrior Games in Colorado Springs, Colo., in early May.
