31st Marine Expeditionary Unit

U.S. Marines with Battalion Landing Team 1/5, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), conduct airborne fast-rope training drills at Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan, Dec. 2, 2021. Bravo Company conducted the training in order to maintain certification for 31st MEU heliborne operations and build a relationship with their Air Command Element counterparts. The 31st MEU, the Marine Corps’ only continuously forward-deployed MEU, provides a flexible and lethal force ready to perform a wide range of military operations as the premier crisis response force in the Indo-Pacific region.
