Bison on Camp Pendleton
Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton
April 25, 2016 | 1:28
Bison roam the northern part of Camp Pendleton, Calif. On April 26th, 2016. Bison numbers dropped from 60 million to less than 800 in the late 19th century. The species is no longer endangered due to conservation efforts. The San Diego Zoo donated 14 bison nearly 40 years ago. Up to 150 roam the base today. (U.S. Marine Corps motion media by Cpl.
