President Joe Biden, President Emmanuel Macron of France, service members, dignitaries, and citizens from around the world gather at the Normandy American Cemetery to honor the 80th anniversary of D-Day in Normandy, France, June 6, 2024. On D-Day, the largest amphibious operation in history, U.S. and Allied forces assaulted the beaches of Normandy to begin the liberation of France from Nazi rule.
