Maj. Christopher A. Denver recalls childhood memories of his late grandfather, a World War II veteran who inspired him to pursue aviation and join the Marine Corps. Denver, an Osprey pilot and the executive officer of Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 265, was recently named 1st MAW Aviator of the Year. Denver is a native of San Antonio, Texas.
