Sgt. Allan D. Donaire, maintenance management chief, a native of Elizabeth, N.J. On, Oct. 29, Sgt. Jorge S. Negron, Sgt. Michael James Roy II, and Donaire along with a hospital corpsman rescued 14 New Yorkers trapped by rising waters and a raging fire that burned more than a hundred homes as Hurricane Sandy came ashore.
