Pfc. Justin Oates and Cpl. David Knight, assigned to Lima Co., 3rd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, explain the endurance course, a grueling culminating event that builds upon the skills the learned at the Jungle Warfare Training Center, Okinawa, Japan. The Hawaii-based battalion is attached to 4th Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine expeditionary Force as part of the unit deployment program. Oates is a St. Louis, Mo., native and Knight is a Rocklin, Calif., native.
