Combat Lifesaver Course: Marines step up in the absence of Corpsmen

Combat Lifesaver is a course designed to teach Marines how to save someone’s life in a combat environment. During the three-day class, Marines learn how to insert an intravenous (IV) device, apply tourniquets and regulate a person's respiratory system. The Marines are with 3rd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, which is a forward deployed unit from Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii, to 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force based in Okinawa, Japan.
