3rd Marine Aircraft Wing
Feb. 12, 2022 | 5:15
U.S. Marines with Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron 169 and Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 364, Marine Aircraft Group (MAG) 39, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing (MAW), conduct anti submarine warfare and tactical recovery of aircraft and personnel training alongside a U.S. Navy UH-60R helicopter with Helicopter Strike Maritime Weapons School Pacific during Winter Fury 22 off the coast of San Clemente Island, California, Feb. 12, 2022. MAG-39 has been working with Helicopter Strike Maritime Weapons School Pacific to develop tactics, techniques and procedures that emphasize the speed, range, and expeditionary nature of the MV-22 to support the Navy in their anti-submarine warfare mission. Winter Fury 22 provides the Marines of 3rd MAW with realistic, relevant training opportunities necessary to respond to any crisis across the globe and win decisively in a highly contested, maritime conflict.
