U.S. Marines with Battalion Landing Team, 2nd Battalion, 5th Marines, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, and the 2nd Royal Australian Regiment conduct an amphibious assault exercise utilizing amphibious assault vehicles at Fog Bay, Northern Territory, Australia, during exercise Talisman Sabre July 11, 2015. Talisman Sabre provides an invaluable opportunity to conduct operations in a combined, joint and interagency environment that will increase the U.S. and Australia’s ability to plan and execute contingency response from combat missions to humanitarian efforts.
