Vietnam Veterans Day

On March 29th, we remember and honor the nearly 500,000 Marines who served our country during the Vietnam War. Some of the Marine Corps most storied battles and operations took place during the Vietnam War including: the siege of Khe Sanh, the Battle of Hue City, and Operation Starlite. Throughout the conflict, over 12,000 Marines were killed and 52,000 wounded, amounting to almost a third of all American causalities. The Vietnam War proved the efficacy of the Marine Corps’ Marine Air Ground Task Force and would influence Marine Corps warfighting doctrine for decades to follow.
