U.S. Marines with 3rd Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment (REIN), 7th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, take part in an Integrated Training Exercise as part of Service Level Training Exercise 5-24 at Range 205, Marine Corps Air-Ground Combat Center, Twentynine Palms, California, July 17, 2024. ITX enables units to mobilize geographically dispersed forces for potential future deployments, increase combat readiness and lethality, and exercise Marine Air-Ground Task Force command and control of battalions and squadrons across the full spectrum of warfare. SLTE 5-24 is purpose built to train, develop, and validate the Infantry Battalion Experiment as part of a larger Marine Air-Ground Task Force operation as a Stand-in Force across a contested multi-domain distributed environment.
