U.S. Marine Corps Colonel Gabrielle M. Hermes, the outgoing Commanding Officer of Headquarters & Service Battalion, Fleet Marine Force, Atlantic, Marine Forces Command , Marine Forces Northern Command, relinquishes command to Col. Daniel T. Celotto, the incoming HQSVCBN CO, during a change of command ceremony at Naval Support Activity Hampton Roads, Virginia, June 9, 2023. The change of command ceremony is a military tradition that signifies all responsibilities and authorities being transferred from one commanding officer to another. The new commanding officer will proceed to execute the mission of HQSVCBN, MARFORCOM — to provide administrative, training, and service support to HQ MARFORCOM as well as 55 other Monitored Command Codes MCC consisting of Marines who are spread throughout the cities of Hampton Roads, Virginia.
