While out for a walk, 1st Lt. John C. Dixon IV and his wife came across the local police requesting their assistance in making out shouts from the ocean at Sunabe Seawall, Okinawa, Japan, November 24, 2017. After listening they were able to hear people shouting help. Dixon waded out into the water with a life preserver and rescued one local Okinawan, three American college exchange students and one local police officer. Dixon is the network operations officer, G-6, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing. (U.S. Marine Corps video by Cpl. Jessica Etheridge)
