U.S. Marine Corps Maj. Gen. Robert Castellvi, commanding general, 1st Marine Division, starts Palau’s 25th annual boat race at the Japan-Palau Friendship Bridge, Sept. 29, 2019. The race is an annual event, held around Palau’s Independence Day, that consists of speed boats racing under the bridge with spectators lining both sides. (U.S. Marine Corps video by Lance Cpl.
