A Meal, Ready-to-Eat (MRE) is a self-contained, individual field ration used by service members during field conditions. Some service members are in the field or combat during the holidays; most likely eating their MRE for the 4th of July. Here is one way they can cook up MREs for their Independence Day barbecue.
