U.S. 5TH FLEET AREA OF OPERATIONS (May 11, 2018) – U.S. Marines with Battalion Landing Team, 2nd Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment (BLT 2/6), 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), participate in non-lethal training conducted by the Law Enforcement Detachment (LE) aboard the Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Iwo Jima (LHD 7), May 11, 2018. The 26th MEU and Iwo Jima amphibious ready group are deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations in support of maritime security operations to reassure allies and partners and preserve the freedom of navigation and the free flow of commerce in the region.
