U.S. Marines Complete Pohang Cross Country Flights

U.S. Marines with Marine Aircraft Group 12 lead a tour of the F-35B Lightning II aircraft for the leadership of Republic of Korea 1st Marine Division, ROK Marine Aircraft Group, and ROK Naval Air Command at ROK Base Pohang, Republic of Korea, April 1 to April 2, 2024. The tour provided insight on the 5th generation aircraft platform’s capabilities and operational considerations, to include on an aircraft carrier. Marines with VMFA-121, a Japan-based F-35B Lightning II squadron, traveled to the Republic of Korea for unit and joint-level training to increase combat readiness and proficiency while operating on the Korean peninsula.
