MCAS Cherry Point Fire and Emergency Services Training
Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point
Feb. 22, 2020 | 1:43
Fighting fires and rescuing kittens from trees is probably what comes to mind when envisioning what firefighters do from day to day, but it is certainly not all. Minus the kitten, our firefighters with Cherry Point Fire & Emergency Services at Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Cherry Point, North Carolina, answer the call to an array of emergency situations. From technical rescues, which include rescues from confined spaces and high angle structures, to water rescues, vehicle incidents, chemical leaks and spills, trapped elevators with people inside, assisting the community during and after natural disasters, providing emergency medical services, and of course structure fires and other miscellaneous fires – they’ve got us covered. With all that is required of our firefighters, they are always prepared to assist and save lives within our community by regularly training for the numerous scenarios that they encounter.
