2019 Battles Won Academy Day Three B-roll
Marine Corps Recruiting Command
July 13, 2019 | 3:34
The Battles Won Academy brings together approximately 100 of the country’s top student-leaders for a week in the nation’s capital. The Battles Won Academy is a part of the Marine Corps’ Semper Fidelis All-American Program, which recognizes young men and women who excel in athletics, but have also shown themselves to be leaders in the classroom and in their communities. The program provides Marines with several opportunities to purposefully engage the student leaders and share leadership lessons that will enhance their future success. Nearly 100 high school student-athletes were selected to attend the academy, which runs through July 14 and focuses on developing their self-confidence, discipline, teamwork, and honing the fighting spirit that embodies the Marine Corps.
Day three footage includes the Semper Fidelis All-American student-athletes conducting wrestling techniques with USA Wrestling and building bikes for the Boys and Girls club of the Greater Washington, D.C. area.
