U.S. Marines with the 1st Marine Division conduct a change of command ceremony held at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, Calif., July 6, 2018. The ceremony represented the transfer of responsibility, authority and accountability from Maj. Gen. Eric M. Smith, the outgoing commanding general, to Maj. Gen. Robert F. Castellvi, the incoming commanding general.
