U.S. Marines with 2nd Low Altitude Air Defense Battalion fire a FIM-92 Stinger Missile near Marine Corps Outlying Field Atlantic, North Carolina, July 12, 2023. Marines with Small Unmanned Aircraft System School worked with 2nd LAAD, Light Attack Helicopter Squadron (HMLA) 167 and Marine Attack Squadron (VMA) 223 to test the effectiveness and practical application of unmanned aerial systems equipped with a Silvus Technologies transmission system.
