The analysts within the Current Operations Analysis Support Team (COAST) are responsible for the Directorate's current operations related analytical support to deployed Marine Forces and the Marine Corps supporting establishment. COAST trains Division analysts in subjects and analytical techniques that are of immediate interest to Marine Forces. Once trained, Directorate analysts deploy for six months in support of forward Marine Air-Ground Task Forces (MAGTF). COAST analysts at Marine Corps Base Quantico provide reach-back support to forward deployed analysts; they also perform studies on subjects related to current operations for other Marine Corps, Joint, and Coalition partners
